Outline;- Based on a series 17 popular science essays from 1970’2 to 1990’s looking at aour natural universe in a wide range of topics, from counting based on an 8 sequence to Time and the Universe. Over time the public’s outlook has changes, as his article “Waiting for the next ice age” written around 1976 demonstrates. Though much of the science is delivered in an easy manner.

• “We can now say unequivocally (if undisturbed by our activities) that the warmest period of the present “interglacial” is over, and that from here on we can expect a cooling off. Within about ten thousand years the world will be in the grip of another full ice age.”
