Outline :- Islam is essentially left out of Indonesian foreign policy, reflecting the governments preference for pluralistic society. Towards the end of Soeharto, and during Habibi & Megawati era various formal Islamic political parties had some small success in pressuring the Government to express some foreign policy on the middle east in recognizing & supporting Palestine and non recognition of Israel.
