Outline :- Radio under Suharto was a state propaganda medium wherein the people were informed of news. After reformasi radio licenses were open to the public and the nature of censorship & control changed. Radio stations took on a new form of interaction with the public, to attract audiences / advertising revenue, but also to have a different outlook on news and discussion. This operates in a number of ways in which the community & station owners interact, and radio has become more sophisticated along with better journalists etc. The book couches some aspects in respect of communication theory. Easy to read.
