Outline :- Very few people have medically studied sleep, and it is still poorly understood. The importance of sleep is brought home throughout the book, from torture techniques related to sleep deprivation, significant cause of car accidents, poor management performance etc. The nature of dreaming, deep and shallow sleep described where we can all relate to. The history of some sleep related experiments, and how some pills can put off sleep temporarily, but we need to catch up. An interesting aspect related to yawning – where no explanation has been found yet.
