Cool It (book review)

26. Title :- Cool It – The skeptical environmentalist guide to global warming.
By :- Bjorn Lomborg.
Published :-Marshall Cavnedish Ltd. UK, 2007 (230 pages)

Outline :- A blow by blow refutation of “Inconvenient Truth” book. The first chapter describes how the total polar distribution of polar bears is growing, and only 1 area is shrinking, repudiating the gross inaccuracy that the global warming is going to destroy polar bears. Other chapters tear apart the emotive but lack of real research aspects of Inconvenient Truth. The author goes on to propose it is more rational & suitable to tackle the effects of global warming rather than try to tackle the causes (CO2). Thus it is far cheaper and more practical to spend money building coastal erosion prevention than spend money on carbon tax which will not take economic realization till perhaps 200 years from now. A warmer planet can have benefits for mankind.
